The Story Of Emgage<\/h1>\n

Since you are on this page, I assume that you want to know why we built Emgage and trust me, I am glad that you asked.<\/span><\/p>

When I joined Elitecore Technologies in 2005 as their HR manager, I and my two-person team were expected to set up HR processes and an HRMS for the company. We struggled with it immensely, thanks to the complexities of the HRMS platform, our limited knowledge and of course, limited bandwidth.<\/span><\/p>

Over the years, working as an HR and talking to multiple business owners, I realised that most of them face the same problems with HRMS implementation as I did. So I decided to take the leap and create an HRMS, tailor made for small and medium enterprises.<\/span><\/p>

Armed with feedback from the MSME owners and my knowledge of what\u2019s required in an HRMS, we created Emgage HRMS in 2019.<\/span><\/p>

The response was good, but very soon a different problem surfaced from the shadows. Emgage HRMS was simple and easy to use, but to actually utilise its features properly, people needed to have certain HR policies and processes in place.<\/span><\/p>

How would they calculate payroll when the leave and attendance policy was not clear? Or how would they add employee data to the HRMS when there was no proper employee onboarding process?<\/span><\/p>

See the thing is, HRMS implementation requires change management. Unlike a CRM or an accounting software that is used by only a few employees, an HRMS platform touches every employee in the company. Hence, the person implementing the HRMS should have expertise in change management and HR processes.<\/span><\/p>

Moreover, HR automation is the 3rd step of streamlining HR; first is setting up the right processes and second is having the right team to handle HR. You can\u2019t excel at a sport without knowing the rules or having a coach, can you?<\/span><\/p>

Unfortunately, 80% of Indian MSMEs don\u2019t have a formal HR department and 94% of these MSME owners have little to zero knowledge of HR.<\/span><\/p>

So we added a services layer to Emgage and started providing Remote HR Teams, HR Policy Design and Payroll Management as a service to businesses in 2020.<\/span><\/p>

Cut to today, we have serviced more than 800 clients across India and we process 3,00,000+ payrolls every year. Emgage provides end-to-end employee and payroll management to businesses along with its improved in-house HRMS solution.<\/span><\/p>
